This collection is years in the making. It’s fifteen and twenty-one and twenty-six (almost seven). It’s a patchwork of old and new, borrowed and blue. It’s heavily rooted in past loves and lost loves, past dreams and lost dreams. It’s me talking to myself. It’s a shout into a void. It’s a cry for help. It’s me putting down harsh truths and tarnished memories. It’s what I needed to let go of, or attempt to understand. It’s been shaped by those who shaped me, for better or worse. It’s inhalation and exhalation. It’s a patchwork of everything I am and everything I’m not. These words are fire, water, air and earth. These words are catastrophic, claustrophobic, chaotic and cathartic. These words are mine.

An insightful revisionism of overlooked, forgotten, misunderstood, rewritten, exploited, neglected, disregarded, doctored, hidden, lost, tainted, concealed, oppressed and marginalised, female stories and voices.

A testament to female tragedy, suffering, adversity, trauma, experience, excellence, bravery, power, achievement, determination and survival.

The following poems have been created using only the language from legal documents, news articles, letters, diaries, interviews, transcripts, books, introductions and speeches, by, about or somehow related to each subject.
